Apple has announced that the first features of its Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence platform are now available to iPhone, iPad, and Mac users through the release of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. New AI Tools and Siri Enhancements

The Apple Intelligence platform introduces Writing Tools designed to help users summarize notes, adjust the tone of messages to make them more professional or friendly, and convert text into lists or tables. AI summaries now appear in notifications and emails, and a new alert mode filters out less relevant notifications.

Siri has also been upgraded, now highlighted by a glowing frame around the screen when active. Users can interact with Siri through both voice and text, with a new option to type responses by tapping the bottom of the screen. Siri can now answer more detailed questions regarding the features and settings of Apple devices.

Enhanced Photos App and Future Expansion

The Photos app now allows users to search by describing what they are looking for. Additionally, the Cleanup tool can remove unwanted objects from images, while the Memories feature helps users create videos based on specific descriptions.

Apple has announced that new Apple Intelligence features will roll out in December. This includes the integration of ChatGPT into Siri, expanded Writing Tools that respond to detailed user input, and a new Visual Intelligence feature capable of identifying nearby objects through the camera.

Currently, Apple Intelligence is available in the United States in American English, notes NIXSOLUTIONS. In December, it will expand to Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, with further language support arriving in April. We’ll keep you updated as new features become available across regions.
