Telegram has introduced a new feature allowing users to charge for incoming messages from strangers. This update helps users avoid spam and unwanted messages while giving content creators and public figures a way to monetize their interactions. If someone outside the contact list wants to send a message, they may need to pay, ensuring only meaningful communication gets through. Groups and channels can also enable this feature for comments, helping maintain relevance and reducing spam. Group owners can monetize their communities by earning stars, with flexible settings allowing certain users to comment for free.
Expanded Contact Information
Another update improves transparency when receiving messages from unknown contacts. Users will now see additional details, such as the sender’s country (based on their phone number), shared groups, registration date, last username and profile photo update, and account status. This feature aims to help users quickly assess whether a contact is trustworthy or potentially fraudulent.
Telegram Premium with Stars
Telegram Premium can now be paid for using stars, which users earn through paid messages. These stars can be used to purchase a subscription for themselves or as a gift for another user. Additionally, users who accumulate stars can exchange them for rewards on the Fragment platform, where they can buy ads, collectible gifts on the TON blockchain, and more. Group owners can also manage their earned stars from the group profile.
Additional Updates
Telegram has also introduced several other improvements, adds NIX Solutions. Users can now pin up to six gifts to their profile, visible both on the “Gifts” tab and the profile cover. Android users can broadcast video recordings to Chromecast-supported devices directly from the app. Integration with Telegram Gateway allows businesses to verify customer phone numbers at a lower cost than SMS, with a free trial available. These updates enhance the platform’s functionality, and we’ll keep you updated as more integrations become available.
