Apple has enhanced TestFlight, making it easier to test your apps, games, and App Clips. These updates focus on improving invitations, tester recruitment, and public link metrics.
Redesigned Invitations
TestFlight invitations now include a description of the beta app to better showcase the features and content available. If your app or game has a moderator-approved, distribution-ready version, the invitation can also include screenshots and the app category. Additionally, a new feedback option lets users explain why they didn’t join the beta, helping you understand what might deter participation.
Streamlined Recruitment Criteria
You can now set recruitment criteria, such as device type and OS version, for your public invitation link. This ensures that only qualified testers are recruited, leading to more relevant feedback and reducing time spent on incompatible users.
New Public Link Metrics
TestFlight now provides detailed metrics to help you assess the performance of your public invitation links, adds NIX Solutions. You’ll see how many testers viewed your invitation and accepted it. If you’ve applied criteria to your public link, you’ll also get insights into how many testers didn’t meet those requirements.
To get started, simply upload your build, add testing information, and invite testers. We’ll keep you updated on future improvements.
