Garmin has expanded its range of Lily 2 smartwatches with a new model designed for those who prioritize exercise and an active lifestyle. This new version, the Lily 2 Active, includes notable upgrades, such as a built-in GPS module and two mechanical buttons, making it $50 more expensive than the original Lily 2.
Enhanced GPS and Controls
The main improvement in the Lily 2 Active is the inclusion of a GPS receiver, allowing users to track their movements more accurately during activities like running and cycling. The addition of two mechanical buttons on the side of the case provides a more convenient alternative to the touchscreen, enhancing ease of use.
Improved Battery Life and Sports Functions
Another standout feature of the Lily 2 Active is its extended battery life. Garmin promises up to nine days of use, nearly double that of the Lily 2. This extended battery life brings the model closer to the performance of the Garmin Epix Pro Sapphire Edition, priced at $1,000. Additionally, the Lily 2 Active comes with several sports functions not found in the Lily 2, such as pre-installed apps for tracking sports like tennis and golf. It also supports the Garmin Coach app, giving users access to free adaptive training plans from expert coaches, adds NIXsolutions.
The Lily 2 Active is available in Lunar Gold, Silver, and Jasper Green for $300. We’ll keep you updated on any further developments from Garmin.
