Opera has expanded the capabilities of its mobile browser by adding an image analysis function to the virtual assistant Aria. This new feature, initially tested on desktops, is now available for mobile users. With this update, users can upload images and ask questions about them, receiving detailed information from the AI-powered chatbot.
How to Use the New Feature
To utilize this function, users simply need to launch the Aria chatbot within the Opera mobile browser. By clicking the “+” icon, they can upload an image from their device’s storage or capture a new one using their camera. Users can then ask any question related to the uploaded image. For example, they might inquire about a dog’s breed in a photo or request information about an architectural structure depicted in the image.
Availability and Future Updates
The image analysis feature is completely free to use and doesn’t require any paid subscriptions, notes NIXsolutions. Currently, Android users can access this function by installing Opera Beta version 85. It is expected to be included in the stable version of the browser in the near future. We’ll keep you updated on when this feature becomes available in the stable release.
This enhancement to Opera’s mobile browser demonstrates the company’s commitment to integrating advanced AI capabilities into its products, providing users with powerful tools for information discovery and analysis directly within their web browsing experience.
