Microsoft continues to actively develop the Phone Link feature in the Windows 11 operating system, which allows you to synchronize your computer with your smartphone. In the new beta version, this feature has been integrated directly into the Start menu.
Integration with the Start Menu
Users of the test build of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3790 (KB5039307) noticed that you can access your smartphone connected using the Phone Link service through the Start menu. The feature is implemented through the recently added Companion option for displaying widgets in Start, notes NIX Solutions.
Enhanced Functionality
Right from Start you can go to calls and messages on your smartphone, look at photos on it, and also quickly perform recent actions, such as calling or messaging a specific contact. To use the new feature, you must download the Phone Link app on your Android or iOS smartphone. We’ll keep you updated on further developments and improvements in this feature.
